§ Mr. GOLDSMITHasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether his attention has been called to the case of Inspectors of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, who receive sickness 1633 and disablement allowances in excess of those given by the National Insurance Bill in addition to superannuation; whether he would consider the desirability of extending the exemption from compulsory insurance granted to municipal employés under Schedule I., Part II., (b), to this and other similar cases?
Mr. McKINNON WOODMy right hon. Friend cannot promise to go further in this direction than is indicated in the Amendment to Schedule I., Part II., that he has put on the Paper.
§ Mr. GOLDSMITHWould not it be possible to leave these cases to the discretion of the Commissioners?
Mr. McKINNON WOODI am afraid that I cannot go further than in the answer which I have already given.
