FORSTERasked the Postmaster-General if a number of men employed in the wood-working department of the Post Office service have received notice of discharge; what is the reason of this reduction, and what is the number of men who have received notice; how many of these men have secured other places; and whether he can do anything to secure employment for the remainder?
§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)I would refer the hon. Member to an answer given to a question on the same subject by the hon. Member for North Islington on Wednesday last. The number of men affected is twenty-seven. All of these have been offered good situations.
