§ Mr. GINNELLasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will have the applicability or inapplicability of the National Insurance Bill to Ireland ascertained by Irish actuaries acquainted with the conditions of life in rural districts in Ireland as contrasted with those of the fully-employed and well-paid population of Great Britain?
§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Lloyd George)The applicability or inapplicability of the National Insurance Bill to Ireland appears to me to he a social and economic rather than an actuarial question, and one on which the House of Commons would prefer to listen to the representatives of Irish Constituencies.
