HC Deb 30 May 1911 vol 26 c902
Mr. WILLIAM THORNE

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware of the overcrowding and in-sanitary conditions prevailing at Barking Road, Canning Town, police station; and if he can state when the contract for the proposed new police station will be issued?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Churchill)

The present police station at Canning Town is too small for the requirements of the district, and for this reason a site for a new station has been obtained. It is proposed to invite tenders for the new building in the course of next week.
