HC Deb 29 May 1911 vol 26 cc697-8
Sir GILBERT PARKER

asked the President of the Local Government Board if it is the intention of the Government to bring in a Public Health Bill to deal with sewers and drains?

The PRESIDENT of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Burns)

As I informed my hon. Friend the Member for the Leigh Division on the 18th instant, I could not promise to introduce legislation on the subject of sewers and drains this Session. A Bill on the subject is before the House, but is blocked by the hon. Member for the Ealing Division.

Sir GILBERT PARKER

Has the right hon. Gentleman received any communications from local authorities concerned in this matter?

Mr. BURNS

Yes, I have.
