§ Mr. CHURCHILLYes, Sir; but as the petition seeks the intervention of his Majesty in an industrial dispute I am unable to advise his Majesty to comply with the prayer of the petition. I have, however, communicated it to the President of the Board of Trade.
Mr. HUGH EDWARDSIn view of the unrest in the district, may I ask the right hon. Gentleman if he will be prepared to receive a deputation of the men to discuss the matter?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLIt does not fall within my Department to deal with a question of conciliation in a trade dispute. It falls within the province of my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade.
