HC Deb 10 May 1911 vol 25 c1193
Mr. GINNELL

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will ascertain from the Irish railway companies having termini in Dublin, and from their night watchmen, the number of hours per night those men are required to be on duty; the wages paid them; whether they are supplied with hut, overcoat, or fire; and whether it is the practice to dismiss any of them who ask better conditions?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Buxton)

The Board of Trade would not appear to have any jurisdiction in regard to the hours or conditions of service of the men in question.
