HC Deb 04 May 1911 vol 25 c579
Mr. LUNDON

asked whether the local district inspector of police at Magherafelt has recommended a certain gentleman for the commission of the peace in that district; and, if so, by what authority this policeman has done so; whether his recommendation has been or will be acted upon; and, if this policeman is acting contrary to the police regulations, whether any, and what, steps will be taken to call him to account for his conduct in this matter?

Mr. REDMOND BARRY

No such recommendation has been made by the district inspector of police at Magherafelt.

Mr. REMNANT

Can the right hon. Gentleman tell me when the Chief Secretary will be in a position to answer my question, postponed some weeks ago, asking whether it is intended to hold an inquiry into the condition of the police?
