HC Deb 04 May 1911 vol 25 c602
Mr. LANSBURY

asked if, in view of the fact that certificates in cases of lunacy and imbecility vary in cost from £3 13s. 6d. in St. George's-in-the-East to £36 14s. in St. Pancras per annum, he will consider 'the advisability of recommending some more uniform and economical method for dealing with these cases?

Mr. BURNS

The payments are made under statutory authority, but I am considering whether it is possible to take any action in the direction suggested.
