§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe Treasury have authorised the award of the gratuity and the additional allowance under the Superannuation Act, 1909 (together £29 3s. 3d.), to which Mr. Carroll's length of service entitled him. They have no power to make any grant to his dependents in addition to this award.
