§ Dr. CHAPPLEasked the Prime Minister what facilities he proposes to give this Session for legislation that will confer upon local authorities in Scotland power to close places of public refreshment on Sundays, and make the closing hours on week days the same as public-houses?
§ The PRIME MINISTERAs my hon. Friend is doubtless aware, the Burgh Police (Scotland) Amendment Bill, which has been introduced by the Lord Advocate, proposes to provide for the further regulation of places of public refreshment in Scotland, and I hope we may be able to take it after the Shops Bill.
