§ The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)I am unable to state the total amount contributed 900 by district asylum officers and servants in Scotland last year under the provision of the Asylums Officers Superannuation Act, 1909, without obtaining a special return on the subject, but the amount of such contributions during the month of December last was £205. This may be taken as a fair measure of their contributions from 15th May, when the Act came into operation; and the total amount therefore is probably about £1,450. The total number of asylum officers and servants who were contributing at 15th December last was 1,110.
