§ The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Harcourt)I understand that it has not been the practice to translate into Welsh the quarterly posters displayed by the Emigrants' Information Office in post offices in Wales because it was felt that the number of intending emigrants unacquainted with English was not sufficiently large to justify the additional expense. If my hon. Friend can show that this belief is not well founded, I shall be happy to ask the Managing Committee of the Emigrants' Information Office to consider carefully the suggestion that a Welsh translation of the poster should in future be displayed in Wales side by side with the English version.
