HC Deb 21 March 1911 vol 23 cc241-2
Mr. MORTON

asked the Lord Advocate whether he can say when anything is to be done to give the people of the Badnellan district, parish of Clyne, Sutherland, a proper supply of water?

Mr. WILLIAM HUNTER

I am informed by the Local Government Board that the question of obtaining a proper water supply for Badnellan district is a most difficult one, firstly, because there is no likely source of supply within the immediate district itself; and, secondly, because the cost of bringing water from a distance would be prohibitive. Meantime the Parish Council of Clyne have been asked whether, with their special knowledge of the district, they have any suggestions to offer; and from a recent communication the Board learn that the Parish Council have the matter under consideration.
