HC Deb 16 March 1911 vol 22 c2445
Mr. KERR-SMILEY

asked the Chief Secretary whether, in view of the fact that the English Department of Agriculture is about to allocate funds for agricultural organisation in England, he proposes to restore the Grant to the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society so as to enable it to assist the Irish farmers?

Mr. BIRRELL

I am not aware of the proposals of the English Board of Agriculture referred to. An application to the Development Commissioners from the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society has been referred to the Irish Department for report and is now under consideration.

Sir GILBERT PARKER

As funds have been allotted to the use of the Agricultural Organisation Society, does the Government intend to appoint a representative to sit upon the board or the committee?

Mr. BIRRELL

The hon. Member will give me notice of that question.
