§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Acland)Accommodation is being provided for one Infantry battalion, one Cavalry regiment, headquarter offices, Ordnance and Army Service Corps depots, and married quarters for certain men. The Egyptian Government is providing ail the funds, and will get in return the site and barracks now occupied. I am not in a position to state the amount.

§ Mr. WHELERIs the hon. Member aware that at the present time some of the barracks are extremely badly lighted, which is a great inconvenience to the men who want to study.
§ Mr. ACLANDWe are aware of that. The work is being pushed on, and money has been taken this year to improve it.
