HC Deb 13 March 1911 vol 22 c1841
Mr. LANSBURY

asked the President of the Local Government Board how many more men have been found work or are likely to be found work by the Central (Unemployed) Body for London as a result of his communications with the chairman of that body?

Mr. BURNS

The Central (Unemployed) Body have at present in hand work which will, I understand, extend beyond the close of the current financial year. In addition, I have now had submitted to me some further schemes of work which I have promised to aid out of the Parliamentary grant. These schemes will employ a considerable number of men for four or five weeks.
