HC Deb 02 March 1911 vol 22 c543
Mr. NEWMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the feeling expressed on both sides of the House, the Government will appoint a Select Committee to examine the various methods adopted by public bodies, both in this country and abroad, to regulate the length of individual speech in Debate, and report thereon to this House as soon as possible?

The PRIME MINISTER

I could not adopt this suggestion unless I were satisfied that it was supported by a general demand.
