§ The PRIME MINISTEROn Monday we will continue the discussion on the Supplementary Estimates, and we propose to suspend the 11 o'clock rule.
On Tuesday, we will take the Second Reading of the Revenue Bill,
On Wednesday the Civil Service (Vote on Account), and
On Thursday the Committee stage of the Revenue Bill.
As to Friday, I hope to make a statement next week.
§ Mr. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAINIn arranging that programme, has the right hon. Gentleman borne in mind the fact that, owing to an amicable arrangement across the floor of the House, the discussion on the Report stage of the Resolutions was practically foregone; I do not mean that that is literally true, because there were three hours of discussion on the Report stage, but, in effect, there was no discussion of the Report stage; in the circumstances does not the right hon. Gentleman think that a little more time ought to be allowed to the House for discussing a Bill which, I think, contains no fewer than fourteen clauses and omits a great many others?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI am afraid I do not see my way to give any more time.
§ Mr. JAMES HOPEDo I understand that the right hon. Gentleman proposes to go into Committee on the Revenue Bill on Thursday and only give one day?
§ The PRIME MINISTERYes.
