HC Deb 28 June 1911 vol 27 c431
Colonel BATHURST

asked whether it can be arranged that the 250 Imperial Cadets from Australasia, Canada, and United South Africa, who were the guests of the Government at the Territorial cadet battalion camp at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, from the 22nd to the 23rd June for the Coronation parade, may receive the Coronation medal in common with the other representatives of the defence forces of the oversea Dominions and India?

Colonel SEELY

The cadets in question were very welcome over here, but they cannot be placed on the same footing as the members of contingents chosen and sent over by the Governments of various self-governing Dominions and Colonies.

Colonel BATHURST

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Imperial Cadets referred to in the question were sent over in the same way as the other representatives of the oversea Dominions?

Colonel SEELY

I do not think it would be correct to say that they were sent over in the same way. At all events, that is my opinion.
