§ Mr. ROWLANDSasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether, seeing that only two applications have been received from county councils under Section 49 (2) of the Small Holdings and Allotments Act, 1908, he will urge county councils to make full use of their powers under the Act for the purpose of assisting credit banking, cooperative, and other societies?
§ Sir E. STRACHEYA scheme for the promotion of co-operation in connection with the Agricultural Organisation Society is being prepared, and it is proposed that county councils should be represented on the district committees administrating the scheme. When the scheme is settled, I will draw the attention of county councils to its advantages.
