HC Deb 21 July 1911 vol 28 cc1407-8

"To confirm certain Provisional Orders made by the Board of Trade under The General Pier and Harbour Act, 1861, relating to Tarbert (Lochfyne) and Ullapool," presented by Mr. TENNANT; supported by Mr. Sydney Buxton.

The DEPUTY-CHAIRMAN (Mr. Whitley)

I beg to move, "That, in the case of the Pier and Harbour Provisional Orders (No. 4) Bill, Standing Order 193a be suspended, and the Bill be read the first time." These two Orders have been delayed by difficulties which arose in negotiations with the landowners and other persons interested. It is thought that all the questions are now arranged, and I hope the House will allow the Orders to proceed. The Bill can only go through if unopposed.

Question put, and agreed to.

Ordered, That Standing Order 193a be suspended, and the Bill be now read the first time.

Bill accordingly read the first time; and referred to the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, and to be printed.
