HC Deb 12 July 1911 vol 28 cc376-7
Major MORRISON-BELL

asked the Prime Minister whether, when the constitutional relations between the two Houses have been adjusted, immediate consideration will be given to removing the acknowledged electoral anomalies which at present exist in the constitution of the Lower House?

Mr. LLOYD GEOGE

It would be premature to make any statement on this subject.

Mr. CLYNES

Might I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether he understands plural voting to be one of the electoral anomalies referred to in the question?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

Certainly, and one of the very worst.

Mr. SWIFT MacNEILL

And University elections the next one.

Mr. KING

If it is one of the worst of the anomalies, may it not be taken in hand?
