§ Lord BALCARRESI beg to move "That Mr. Speaker do issue a warrant to the Clerk of the Crown to make out a New Writ for the electing of a Member to serve in this present Parliament for the County of Somerset, Western or Wellington Division, in the room of the right hon. Sir Alexander Acland-Hood, who has accepted the office of Steward of the Chiltern Hundreds."
§ Mr. ESSEXI wish to ask how long, to make efficient the issue of this warrant, the office of Steward of the Chiltern Hundreds will have to be held by the incumbent, as both are being appointed concurrently to-day?
