HC Deb 03 July 1911 vol 27 c797
Mr. COOPER

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state what are the different circumstances that limit sickness benefit to two-thirds of the usual rate of wages under Clause 9, Sub-section (2), and to the total usual wages under Clause 27?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Lloyd George)

The limit of two-thirds of the usual rate of wages under Clause 9 applies to sickness benefit or disablement benefit received under the National Health Insurance, while the limit of total wages under Clause 27 applies to sick pay from all sources.
