HC Deb 03 July 1911 vol 27 c779
Mr. FELL

asked if the sums which have been awarded to British subjects under awards given under arbitrations with Foreign Powers have in all cases been paid; and, if not, what sums are now outstanding and unpaid?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

To answer the question as it stands would necessitate an elaborate search in the Foreign Office archives extending over a considerable period. I cannot, therefore, answer a general question, but if the hon. Member desires information as to any particular case, I will make inquiry.

Mr. FELL

Are there not some well known cases in which payment has not been made?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

If the hon. Member knows of one or two cases there can be no objection to mentioning them and I will make inquiries.
