§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEmoved, "There shall be charged on the Consolidated Fund and paid to any council of a county or county borough in England or Wales any sum by which the proceeds of the duties on carriages (including motor cars) levied by that council in any year are less than the amount of the proceeds of those duties levied in that county or county borough during the year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine, and there shall be charged on the Consolidated Fund and paid into the Local Taxation (Scotland) Account in each year a sum equal to the proceeds in Scotland of the duties on carriage licences (including motor cars) during the year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine."
