§ Mr. REDDYasked whether the Estates Commissioners have received a memorial from the tenants on the estate of Mrs. Fox, Ferbane, King's County, most of whose valuations are under £7, asking them to acquire the untenanted land, now let on the eleven-months system, for enlargement of their present holdings, and thus enable them to bring up their families in some comfort?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners inform me that the memorial referred to has been received, and a copy was referred to the solicitors who are administering the estate. They state the owners are willing to sell the land which the late owner had in her own hands, but point out the difficulty of dealing with this 1214 land unless the tenants on the estate agree to purchase their holdings. The matter is under consideration at present.
