Mr. JOHN WARD

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he can give the rates of wages per hour now being paid to the labourers employed by Sir John Jackson, Limited, upon the jetty and viaduct under construction in Portsmouth dockyard.

Mr. McKENNA

The rates paid to labourers on this contract are 5½d. and 6d. per hour.
