HC Deb 14 February 1911 vol 21 c889
Mr. NORTON-GRIFFITHS

asked how much, if any, of the £20,000 annual grant for the entertainment of distinguished visitors to this country remains unused; and whether it is proposed to augment this annual grant for the special purposes of the Coronation year?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

The amounts of the grants to the Government Hospitality Fund since its establishment have been:

In 1908–9 £5,000
In 1909–10 £10,000
In 1910–11 £10,000
subject in terms of the estimates to the accumulation of unexpended balances. The balance available upon the Fund on the 31st December last was £13,023, and it is anticipated that a further grant of £10,000 will suffice for the coming financial year.
