HC Deb 13 February 1911 vol 21 c674
Lord NINIAN CRICHTON-STUART

asked if Parliamentary discussion on the ratification of the Declaration of London was postponed until after the Imperial Conference by request of the Colonies; and, if so, why the Colonies were not consulted as to the Declaration before it was signed?

Mr. LYNCH

May I request that the right hon. Gentleman does not answer this question in those terms, as the title Colonies is inapplicable, and is considered offensive by Australians.

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

The answer is in the negative.
