§ Mr. TIMOTHY DAVIES
asked the Secretary to the Treasury if he will state when he expects to be able to issue the Report of his Committee on the amalgamation of the Customs and Excise services?

§ Mr. HOBHOUSE
The work of hearing evidence and of preparing the report is proceeding as quickly as possible, and though I cannot fix an absolute date for the presentation to the Treasury of the Report of the Committee, I hope it may not be long delayed.
