HC Deb 14 December 1911 vol 32 cc2523-4
Mr. COTTON

asked whether it is in tended to abolish the post of superintendent of works at Kingstown Harbour, which has been vacant some months; and, if not, will he state the reasons for the delay in filling the post?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

It is not intended to abolish permanently the post of superintendent of Works at Kingstown Harbour, but before making a new appointment it is considered desirable that an experienced engineer should examine into the workshops and staff. In the meantime, one of the assistant engineers of the Board of Works is temporarily discharging the duties of the post.
