§ Mr. KEIR HARDIEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether the Advisory Committee has now come to a decision regarding the rates of wages to be paid at Dowlais; and whether the same has been communicated to the different spending departments?
Mr. ROBERTSONI am informed by the chairman of the Advisory Committee that, in view of the recent readjustment of wages between the firm and the unions concerned, the contracting departments, which had referred certain matters relating to the Dowlais works to the Committee for investigation, have now informed them that they no longer require the advice of the Committee on the matters referred to them.
