§ Lords Amendment: In Clause 1, Subsection (1), leave out the words "the United Kingdom," and insert instead thereof the words "England or Ireland."

§ Mr. C. E. PRICEMay I ask for some explanation of this, and why only England and Ireland are included? Where does Scotland come in?
§ The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)I cannot answer for Wales, but I can for Scotland. The reason is that by the common law of Scotland we have an infinitely better remedy than any remedy provided by an English statute.
