§ The UNDER-SECRETARY for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Acland)Under our commercial treaty with Morocco of the 9th of December, 1856, the Import Duties on British goods imported into Morocco may not exceed 10 per cent. ad valorem. They were raised to 12½ per cent. by Article 66 of the Algeciras Act. Neither 1409 the Anglo-French Agreement of 1904 nor the recently concluded Franco-German Convention affects this figure.
