HC Deb 04 December 1911 vol 32 c1005
Mr. HARRIS

asked the President of the Local Government Board whether he intends to introduce into Parliament next Session any Bill for the reform of London government; and whether it may be understood that the Government have abandoned their intention of introducing the Bill dealing with the equalisation of rates in London which was announced in the King's Speech of 1906?

Mr. BURNS

I cannot at present make any promise of legislation on the subject of London government next Session. The question of the further equalisation of rates is only one of the elements of the larger problem.
