HC Deb 04 December 1911 vol 32 cc1011-2
Mr. MONTAGUE BARLOW

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been directed to the case of Charles T. Cooper, who was sent to the Heaton Mersey Industrial School on 12th January, 1911; whether the reports of the headmaster on the lad are satisfactory; and whether he will reconsider the case with a view to allowing a remission of some portion of the period for which the lad was sent to the reformatory?

Mr. McKENNA

This boy was committed in January last for refusing to attend the Salford Day Industrial School. There has not been time since the question appeared on the Paper to obtain reports from the school, but I will communicate with the hon. Member in due course.
