HC Deb 04 December 1911 vol 32 c1031
Mr. GOLDSTONE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the normal increments of salary accruing in the case of officers of Excise on 1st October and 1st November last have been withheld without cause being assigned to the officers in question; and whether he will give some explanation of the inaction of the Treasury in this matter?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

In a few cases increments accruing in the current quarter on the old scale have been suspended pending the revision of salaries on the basis of the new scale. The general order promulgating the new scale has now been issued and all necessary adjustments of salaries are being made.
