HC Deb 04 December 1911 vol 32 c1019
Mr. SILVESTER HORNE

asked the Attorney-General whether he is now in a position to print and circulate a full list of all the advisory committees appointed by the Lord Chancellor with regard to the appointment of justices of the peace?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL (Sir Rufus Isaacs)

The Lord Chancellor intends in a short time to print and circulate a complete list of the advisory committees for all the counties with the few corrections rendered necessary by the death or resignation of some whose names appeared in the previous list.

Mr. KING

Is it a fact that all these advisory committees have now been appointed, or are there any still unappointed?

Sir RUFUS ISAACS

I hesitate to answer that question, because I am not quite sure, but I think they have all been appointed.

Mr. M. BARLOW

Does that cover the boroughs also? I understood it only referred to the counties.

Sir RUFUS ISAACS

I think it will refer to all.

Lord R. CECIL

Are there to be advisory committees in boroughs as well as in counties?
