§ Mr. BOOTHA promise was given to the hon. Baronet the Member for the City of London and myself that this Bill would be taken in Committee at a more reasonable hour. I do not wish to press that point in view of the circumstances in which we find ourselves, but I wish to give this notice so that I may not be held by passing the Bill this year to approve of all these expiring laws, because there are some of them to which I entertain the very strongest aversion. In order to protect any position I make this announcement at this stage.
