§ Mr. ARNOLD WARDasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he had come to any decision, and, if so, what decision, in connection with the petition in the case of Dr. Lightfoot?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI find no reason to doubt that the conviction, which was upheld by the Court of Criminal Appeal, was right. As regards the sentence, the prisoner did not appeal against it, and, as he has served only six months out of 1911 five years, it is too soon to consider the question, of advising an. exercise of the clemency of the Crown.
