HC Deb 14 August 1911 vol 29 c1573
Mr. NOEL BUXTON

asked the hon. Member for Southampton, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether, in view of the approaching end of the Session, he will at once place in the Tea Room the plans of Professor Adshead for providing a site for the King Edward Memorial at Hyde Park Corner; and whether the King Edward Memorial Committee has yet considered the plans?

The TREASURER of the HOUSEHOLD (Mr. Dudley Ward)

The plans of Professor Adshead are now in the Tea Room. The First Commissioner of Works has been informed that the King Edward Memorial Committee has not yet been able to consider these plans.

Captain MURRAY

Can the hon. Gentleman give any assurance that the Green Park scheme will not be proceeded with during the Recess and before the House has had an opportunity of discussing it?

Mr. DUDLEY WARD

I do not think the Green Park scheme will be proceeded with for many months to come. The plans are not out yet.
