Mr. CHARLES BATHURST

asked the President of the Local Government Board, whether he has yet considered and decided upon the best steps to adopt to check the increasing prevalence of rats; and whether the suggestions with this object laid before him by the Central Chamber of Agriculture, in the Report dated 1st May, 1911, have been considered by his department, and with what result?

The suggestions made in the report referred to have been under consideration in connection with the general question of the destruction of rats, and I am in communication with the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries on the subject.
