§ Mr. NORTON-GRIFFITHSasked the Prime Minister if he would state what countries, other than the United States and Germany, have a Minister of Commerce; and if he has any information to give the House as to the effect such appointments have had on the commercial prosperity of any such countries?
Mr. McKINNON WOODI would refer the hon. Member to the Parliamentary Paper Commercial No. 3 (1904). The Board of Trade performs the functions of a Ministry of Commerce in this country. He can form his own opinion of the effect of such offices on commercial prosperity.
