Captain MURRAYasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether, looking to the damage done annually by squirrels to Scots fir and other growing timber, and to the loss occasioned thereby to individuals and to the State, he can take steps in the interests of the timber supply of this country to impress upon those concerned the necessity for treating squirrels as vermin where necessary, and for destroying them as such?
