§ Mr. BIRRELLThe number of magistrates in the Queen's County, exclusive of ex-officio magistrates under the Local Government Act, 1898, is 110, of whom thirty-five are believed to be Roman Catholics and seventy-five to belong to other religious denominations. The exact proportion of the Roman Catholics in the county to the whole of the population of the county at the present time cannot be stated until after the publication of the returns of the recent Census.
