§ The PRIME MINISTERI think that experience shows that there are features in the present procedure which are not satisfactory and which require careful reconsideration. I cannot for the moment go further.
§ Mr. MacNEILLMay I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether, in contemplating legislation in reference to this question he will take into consideration some arrangement whereby puisne judges who have been actively engaged in politics should not be on the rota of judges to try election petitions. Is he aware that chief judges are excluded under the provisions of the Act?
