HC Deb 10 April 1911 vol 24 c37
Mr. HERBERT CRAIG

asked the Prime Minister what steps the Government are prepared to propose in order to facilitate the conclusion of the proceedings on the Committee stage of the Parliament Bill without an undue consumption of parliamentary time?

The PRIME MINISTER

This matter is being carefully considered, and to avoid inconvenience I may say that the Government will not improbably find themselves obliged to ask for the evenings of Wednesdays after Easter, other than those that have already been ballotted for.

Mr. STAVELEY-HILL

asked the Prime Minister whether he will state the principal measures which the Government propose to introduce and pass into law before making the Preamble of the Parliament Bill operative?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer is in the negative.
