HC Deb 10 April 1911 vol 24 c41
Mr. BALFOUR

I have heard two hon. Members on this side state that they have postponed questions until Wednesday next at the request of the Prime Minister. I shall be glad to know if that indicates that we are not to have a twelve o'clock sitting in order to deal with the Motion for Adjournment?

The PRIME MINISTER

There will be a twelve o'clock sitting, but questions can be put down.

Lord HUGH CECIL

Can the Prime Minister say how late it is proposed to keep the House sitting to-night?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am afraid I cannot make myself heard, but I will try. The idea of putting down the Motion for the suspension of the Eleven o'clock Rule was that we might sit until twelve or half-past twelve, but not that we should have a prolonged sitting. I cannot commit myself to the exact hour.
